save-it Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
save-it (“the App”) is a wishlist app for Shopify stores, provided by Domingos Pires (Logdock), Rua João Batista Lavanha 22, 1.º Esq., 4150-411 Porto, Portugal (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information the App collects, why, and how it is handled, both for merchants who install the App and for the customers of their stores.
1. Our role
For the personal information of a store’s customers, the merchant is the data controller and we act as a data processor on the merchant’s behalf, following the merchant’s instructions and the Shopify API License and Terms of Use. For information about merchants themselves (for example, a support message), we are the data controller.
2. Information we collect
From merchants
- Store details from Shopify: shop domain, store name, currency and plan, and the access token Shopify issues to the App.
- If a staff member opens the App, Shopify may share their name and email with the App’s session.
- App settings, including the appearance of the wishlist, email alert settings and, if you connect them, the API keys of third-party email marketing tools.
- Anything you send us through the in-app feedback form, such as your message and, optionally, your email.
Subscription billing is handled by Shopify. We do not receive payment card details.
From store customers
- Shopify customer ID, first and last name, email address, preferred language and email marketing status (whether they agreed to receive marketing emails from the store).
- Wishlist contents: the products saved, when they were saved, and their price at that time.
- For customers who are not logged in, a random wishlist identifier stored in their browser (local storage) and in the store cart, so their wishlist keeps working and can be matched to a later order. It does not identify the person.
- When a wishlist product is added to the cart or bought: the product, order number, amount paid and any refund for that product.
- Records of the alert emails sent to a customer (date, type, delivery status) and of unsubscribe requests, bounces and spam complaints.
The App does not collect customers’ phone numbers, postal addresses or payment information.
3. How we use it
- To provide the wishlist: saving products, keeping a customer’s wishlist across devices, and showing it on the storefront.
- To show the merchant wishlist activity and the sales that came from wishlists.
- To send the wishlist alert emails a merchant turns on (price drop, back in stock, low stock). These are sent on the merchant’s behalf, only to customers whose email marketing status in Shopify is “subscribed”, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To send customer and wishlist data to a third-party email marketing tool, only when the merchant connects that tool and starts the sync.
- To bill the merchant through Shopify, provide support, and keep the App secure and working.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share it with
We use these service providers (sub-processors) to run the App:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Platform, store data and billing | Canada / United States |
| Vercel | Application hosting | United States |
| Neon | Database | United States |
| Resend | Sending alert emails | United States |
If a merchant connects a third-party email marketing tool (such as Klaviyo), the data the merchant chooses to sync is sent to the merchant’s own account with that provider, and that provider’s terms and privacy policy apply. We may also disclose information when required by law.
5. International transfers
Information is stored and processed in the United States. Where data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Wishlists of customers who are not logged in: deleted after 60 days without activity.
- Records of alert emails sent: deleted after 90 days.
- Wishlists of logged-in customers, wishlist sales data and unsubscribe records: kept while the App is installed, so the wishlist keeps working and unsubscribed customers are not emailed again, unless deleted earlier at the merchant’s or customer’s request.
- When a merchant uninstalls the App, all of that store’s data is deleted within 48 hours of Shopify’s deletion request.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, including backups. Production data is kept separate from development and test environments, access is limited to the people who need it to run the App and protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and personal information is kept out of application logs. If a security incident affects personal information, we will notify affected merchants and Shopify without undue delay.
8. Your rights
Store customers can ask the store they shopped with to access, correct or delete their information. The merchant’s request reaches us through Shopify’s privacy requests, and we delete or provide the data accordingly. Customers can stop alert emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Merchants can contact us at domingospires288@gmail.com to access, correct or delete their information. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The App is intended for businesses and is not directed at children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify merchants in the App or by email.
